NEW TO YOGA?
TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS
Allow 1-2 hours after a meal before practicing
Arrive early. Usually 10 minutes early is more than enough time to check in and get yourself set up.
Classes are done on a mat barefoot
No mat? No problem. We have plenty of mats at the studio you are more than welcome to borrow
Listen to your body. Yoga is not about pushing beyond your limits. Take rests when needed.
When entering the practice room, please do so quietly. Many people come in to relax or meditate prior to the start of class.
Wear comfortable clothing that's easy to move in. Either loose, or tightly fitted stretchy clothing.
Avoid wearing perfume or anything with a heavy scent to class
Injured? Please make sure to let your teacher know ahead of time so they may give you modifications for the poses being practiced
